For a fun afternoon on the water you may want to consider a clamming and sight seeing trip. The clamming trip includes digging for clams, dolphin watching and a tour of Old Hatteras. Clams are
caught by two methods: one using a custom easy glide rake in shallow warm water, great for beginners, and the foot method from the grassy areas for the more experienced.
Clamming trips depart from the dock at 12:00 PM and return 4:00 PM. Cost of the trip is $500.00 for up to six persons. There is a limit on the amount of clams you can catch, 200 per trip. Your catch will be delicious steamed, fried, baked or in a Hatteras chowder.
This trip is a guaranteed
great time for the entire family! Check out some pictures from past clamming trips.
